Dr. Ruscitto is trained to examine nutrition and how diet affects your health and well-being. Good nutrition comprises more than simply eating three meals a day. It is the breakdown and utilization of important nutrients needed to maintain your body and mind , and includes whole food vitamins, minerals, herbs and glandulars. Obviously some foods should be avoided, while others consumed more frequently. Also food combination may play an important role. At this office Nutritional Testing is employed to identify the requirements of your body as everyone has their own special needs. A few things to consider:
You should limit your intake of: • Nicotine and Alcohol • Bleached, Enriched White refined flour products such as breads, rice, pasta, etc. • “Junk Food” candy, sugar drinks/sodas and empty calories • Caffeine, found in coffee and cola drinks • Hydrogenated oil products and generally processed foods
You should increase your intake of:
• Spring Water • Fruits and Vegetables (Fruits always by themselves, not combined with other foods) • Sprouted grain breads and cereals • Lean cut red meats • Fish and Poultry • Whole food nutrients and herbs
Remember, your specific health condition may require specific dietary requirements, consult Dr. Ruscitto at Lifeforce Chiropractic to find out more.
